1940s glamour meets Tudor England at Shakespeare’s Birthplace

Here at Shakespeare’s Birthplace we’re used to encountering people in costume – Tudor costume that is.  Our guides and actors dress as ‘the middling sort’ and the professional players of Shakespeare’s England.  What we weren’t expecting was a dash of 1940s glamour in our 16th century world – until singer and costume artist Fiona Harrison paid us a visit.
