At this time of year, Shakespeare’s Birthplace feels particularly atmospheric and the house sometimes inspires wonderful spontaneous performances from visitors.  The guides and actors really enjoyed welcoming  Leicester folk singer Sheila Mosley and her daughter Amy to the Birthplace.  When Sheila offered to sing a traditional song for us, everyone stopped to listen.  The song is called ‘She Moved Through the Fair’.

It must have been fantastic to be in the Birthplace whilst she was singing. Great performance.
