Sonnet 44 – “I memorised it to comfort myself”

It was a lovely sunny day when Natalie Smith from Brooklyn, New York, visited Shakespeare’s Birthplace here in Stratford-upon-Avon.  Natalie studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama when she first lived in England and talks beautifully about Shakespeare’s Sonnet 44 and what it meant to her as she adjusted to life in a new country.
